                           Showcase Afternoon
Joyce Elsdon presented the Chanctonbury Cup to Jean Harvey for the best West Sussex poem in the 2010 competition at the annual presentation afternoon held once again at Pulborough Village Hall on Saturday April 21st.
Jean was invited to read a selection of her work including the winning poem and many of those whose poems were commended were also invited to read their entries.
Father Paul Welch from Pulborough Church presented the prize to the winner of the Schools Competition, Kelsey Cox, who then read her poem.
Showcases of work by Slipstream Poets & Chanctonbury Writers were also read and music interludes were provided by 'Rattlebag' and by Paul Ward.
This second Showcase afternoon was much enjoyed by over 60 people and, whilst seats were at a premium, a great atmosphere prevailed throughout and the refreshments that followed were greatly appreciated.
Another successful event and much to look forward to next year.
