EXTERNAL WORKSHOPS & READINGS. Various Members, either individually or as a group, are available for running worskhops within West Sussex and can also be booked for poetry readings. Contact us to find out more.
2010 COMPETITIONS The winners and those whose work was Highly Commended and Commended in the Open Competition, The West Sussex Competition and the Ursual Kiernan Memorial Children's Competition can be found Competition Results page and by clicking on the relevant links.
SLIPSTREAM SHOWCASE & PRESENTATION AFTERNOON Some 60 people attended the Annual Presentation of The Chanctonbury Cup for the best West Sussex entrant in the Open Competition in Pulborough Village Hall on Saturday 17th April. Jean Harvey, the winner showcased a selection of her work and many of those who were 'commended' entrants also read their submissions. In addition the winner of the 1st Children's Competition was also present to receive her prize and to read her poem. Slipstream Poets and Chanctonbury Writers showcased a selection of their work and music was provided by Paul Ward and 'Rattlebag'.
MONTHLY MEMBERS NEWSLETTERS The latest Newsletter for April/May has now been e-mailed to members and interested parties.
THE NEXT WORKSHOP. The June workshop will be held in the usual venue on 7th June and will be led by Fay Marshall. The subject matter will be 'Byron and the stanza form in narrative verse.'
