Betty Hackman

Betty Hackman was born in India in 1923. She married in 1949 and lived in Finland before moving to the USA where she lived for fifteen years. She has two daughters, a son and six grandchildren.
As a professional physiotherapist she worked and taught both in the UK and in the USA. On her retirement she returned to the UK and started to write seriously. She writes stories and articles, has two books for children published and poems in anthologies on both sides of the Atlantic.
A small collection of poems has been published – ‘Impressions Deserve Expression’ and a CD of poetry and music – ‘Migrations’.
Betty was a recent prizewinner in the annual SWAG poetry competition.
